Northwest Sting Baseball was established in 2007 with the goal of providing players and families with an authentic, meaningful baseball experience.

Since its founding, the program has remained committed to developing athletes who are not only skilled on the field, but also mentally strong, confident, and dedicated to excellence in every area of life.

NW Sting places a strong emphasis on player development, character growth, academics, relationships, and community involvement.

The program is designed to teach lessons that go beyond the game, helping athletes understand the importance of commitment, accountability, teamwork, and personal growth.

Most importantly, Northwest Sting is a program where players are valued for more than their statistics. Our hope is that when athletes complete their careers with Sting, they leave knowing they were cared for, supported, appreciated, and recognized for the time, effort, and dedication they gave to our organization.

We love winning, but our priority is the process—the discipline, effort, teamwork, and work ethic required to build a championship attitude in life, not just on the field.

Northwest Sting teams have won local, regional, and national World Series tournaments, but we believe the greatest victories are found in the bonds created along the way. The moments when players laugh, struggle, compete, and grow together become memories and relationships that last a lifetime.

My name is Coach Dashawn, and I am excited to share my passion for baseball and the reason I started NW Sting in 2007.

This amazing game has taken me places and introduced me to people I may never have met otherwise. Baseball has shaped my life, opened doors, and given me opportunities that I will always be grateful for.

From playing stickball in the streets of Ballard with neighborhood friends to being selected by the Seattle Mariners in the MLB Draft, baseball in Seattle has been part of my life since I was eight years old. Through that journey, the Seattle Mariners paid for my education at the University of Washington, and the game continued to teach me lessons that extended far beyond the field.

My goal has always been to give back by teaching young athletes the discipline, work ethic, dedication, and passion that baseball has taught me. I wanted to create a program where players could grow as athletes, teammates, students, and young people.

That is why I started NW Sting.
